Birthday Thankfulness ~ 2015

This year on my birthday I'm thankful for so many things.

  • I'm thankful for our kids who bring so much joy to our family
  • I'm thankful for a supportive and loving husband
  • I'm thankful for my parents who go above and beyond and are always there for me
  • I'm thankful for being in a better place this year.  Last year I had just started experiencing the vertigo followed up by some of the worst months of my life.
  • I'm thankful for a doctor that was willing to listen and take a different approach to treating my Meniere's Disease leaving me to be fairly symptom free now.
  • I'm thankful for a new lifestyle taking me down a road to improved health
  • I'm thankful for a supportive workplace and a boss that has allowed me to work from home the last several months
  • I'm thankful that now that the kids are a bit older Brian and I are back to finding time to enjoy the things we used to love to do.  I love to read and have been able to find time every night to get lost in books.  Brian is golfing every Sunday with a friend and his brother at different courses in our area.  Life is good!
  • I'm thankful for all the friends and family in my life

Mommy Questionnaire

To lighten the mood from yesterday's post I decided to ask Addison some questions that people have posted on their Facebook walls.

WITHOUT ANY prompting, ask your child these questions and write down EXACTLY what they say. It is a great way to find out what they really think. When you re-post put your Child's age.

1. What is something mom always says to you? Never talk to strangers
2. What makes mom happy? Her kids
3. What makes mom sad? When we don't listen
4. How does your mom make you laugh? Tickle me
5. What was your mom like as a child? She wore glasses
6. How old is your mom? 63, Dad - 89 :)
7. How tall is your mom? 48 tall
8. What is her favorite thing to do? To play with us

Kids Say the Darndest Things ~ Addison

Last night completely out of the blue Addison walks up to me and says, "Mommy, you are going to die soon...I can just tell.  I will be really sad if you die but I know that God will keep you safe."  WTH was my first reaction...why would she say that?  I immediately called Brian at work and his reaction was the same..."Why would she say that?"

In a few weeks I'll be gone on a business trip for an entire week.  I used to travel 2-3 times a year for business but haven't traveled much in the last couple years.  Now, for the first time ever I'm freaking out about the upcoming trip.

Kids Practicing Golf

We took the kids to the driving range this weekend after Enzo got his own Jr. set of clubs to practice hitting some balls.
