A couple weeks ago the kids and I flew back to Nebraska for my grandmother's funeral. My grandmother had battled Alzheimmer's for over 10 years. She was such a fun grandma growing up. She spoiled us rotten and we always loved her cooking. She had a fiery personality and never met a stranger. RIP Grandma.
The anticipation of flying with two kids was worse than the outcome of my little travelers. The flight to Nebraska was a night flight so Enzo slept the entire 3 hours in my arms. Addison was awake the first 2 hours of the flight asking questions, looking at the seat back safety guides and magazines, looking out the window to see "Christmas Lights" and hamming it up for the flight attendant. The flight back to Florida was about the same. Enzo slept the entire flight. This time I handed him off to Papa to hold. I brought lots of snacks and activities (thanks Pinterest for busy bag ideas) for Addison to occupy her. There was a 5 year old girl and her Mother sitting behind us that Addison made friends with. The mother even traded seats with Addison and the two girls played together for over an hour of the flight. There is nothing better than kind strangers!
We spent a week in Nebraska and the time flew by. There were many things to do and although I wish I had more time to visit friends while back, family takes precedence.
The pictures below were taken by my Point and Shoot. I didn't feel like packing my DSLR since I only had a few hours to pack before we left. Packing for myself and 2 kids was a project in itself. I'm really disappointed in my Point and Shoot camera and will be looking for a new one. I can't believe how blurry and unfocused the photos are...ugh!!
