Ingredients:
1 box Chex or Crispix
1 stick butter
1 C. Peanut Butter
12oz Choc. Chips
3 C. Powdered Sugar

Directions:
Melt butter, peanut butter and choc chips together. Pour over cereal and mix until cooled. Let cool more. Put powdered sugar in large paper bag. Add cereal mix and shake well. Pour into bowl and enjoy!!

Play Dates, Thanksgiving, Updates and Pics

Last week we had a play date with Braxton and Ivory on Tuesday. Wednesday evening they then came to the house and stayed over and spent Thanksgiving Day with us.

I took it easy this year and ordered a fully cooked turkey from HoneyBaked and it turned out really yummy!! I just did alot of heating and serving and very little cooking...it was nice to not be slaving away all day in the kitchen.

































Saturday we spent the day visiting Lyla. It's hard to believe she'll be one in a couple weeks. She's seemed to be making improvements since we last saw her. She's now crawling and pulling up on things.











My cousin Shelby has been making improvements and will hopefully be released from the hospital soon!! Friday her chest tube was removed and Saturday she was moved out of ICU. Today will be a big day for her as they will be changing the trach.


Saturday was my brother and sister-in-law's due date and no baby yet. They are expecting their first child, a little girl. Can't wait to get "The Call."

Below is a picture from one their baby showers with a doll that was used for a game to see who could dress the baby the fastest...my brother won...haha!!!

Tasty Tuesday: Beach House Seafood Strata

May be made the night before and refrigerated, or made same morning if you dip the bread in eggs/milk mixture first.

Ingredients:
1 large loaf scally or challah or some other white specialty bread
1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss or Jack cheese
1/2 cup purple onion slivered
1 cup sliced celery
1/2 cup sliced sweet red, orange, yellow peppers (optional)
1 lb seafood salad from the deli (you may, of course, substitute fresh lobster, shrimp, crab, etc.)
5 large eggs
3 cups
milk
1/4 tsp dried mustard
Salt, fresh ground pepper to taste

Directions:
Cube bread and place in large greased 11 x 13" casserole dish.

Mix in sliced vegetables.

Spread seafood salad evenly over top, working gently down to bottom.

Spread cheese over top.

Mix eggs, milk and mustard.

Pour over top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Should be golden brown and bubbly.

Cut into squares. Serves 6-9 depending on portion size.
