Ingredients:
3 cans Pillsbury biscuits
cinnamon
sugar
1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350*F.

Make a cinnamon and sugar mixture to taste.
Open and cut each biscuit into 4's.
Roll biscuit pieces in cinnamon/sugar mixture until evenly coated.

Place evenly around greased bundt pan.

In a sauce pan, melt butter, brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon until smooth and creamy. Pour over biscuits.

Place in oven for approximately 30 minutes or until cake is slightly crunchy on top.

Cool slightly in an upright position, then tip pan over onto a plate to remove monkey pull-apart bread.

This has been a family favorite for years. As a child my mom always made this. She still makes it for overnight guests and special weekends when we are all together.

Manic Monday

Today was one of those hectic days. Between work, Addison teething, traveling, etc I am exhausted!!

Murphy's Law: Just yesterday when asked by a friend if Addison had any new teeth I responded "No, it's so weird because she got all these teeth at once and now nothing for months" Fast forward to today I looked in her mouth because she was drooling, chewing on her finger and very whiny and there are 2 new teeth. I just checked last week and there were none. She has one on the top and one on bottom coming in and they are definitely hurting her :-(
The only good part is that I love that she has been clingy all day and wanting to be held since she's been so independent lately.

"Don't mess with me, I'm teething"
Yes, her pajamas are not matching...it's been one of those days.

Show and Tell Sunday

For any of you that are curious as to what is shipping from China...After using my desktop for the last seven years I figured it's time to upgrade. A few weeks ago I got Photoshop CS5 but haven't been able to install it yet since I need the extra space/memory for it. Of course a laptop is not optimum for editing photos so I'm still working on figuring that all out. After using several coupon codes to receive the best deal here is my new laptop that should be arriving tomorrow!!

Waiting on FedEx

Today was supposed to be a great mail day from Fedex, but as I checked the status on both deliveries I found out that one item that I'm anxiously awaiting is delayed and won't be arriving today :-( It stated that it is stuck in a clearance delay as the item arrived in Alaska from China. So since it's shipping from China do you think it arrived into the states on this plane...

My other delivery from Diapers.com is arriving today and although it's not as exciting as the item from China I still look forward to that delivery because
1. I love the ease of ordering online and having diapers delivered to our home
2. I always order extra items in order to reach the $50 minimum for free shipping.
So no, I'm not excited about the diapers, but excited about the extra items I ordered to get the free shipping!!

What Lies Beneath

When Addison started eating table foods I bought a bunch of cute plates for her. I found that the Baby Einstein plates made by Playtex had fun colors, shapes and words. I hoped that these cute educational plates would make mealtime fun. In the beginning the plate usually ended up thrown on the floor along with her utensils and cup. As the months have went by her utensils almost ALWAYS are tossed onto the floor when she's done eating and the plate is turned upside down on her tray. Just this week she decided to add another element to dinner time.

Look at the photo below and see if you notice her new favorite thing to do...

A closer look reveals...

that Addison is intrigued by the animals on the plate. As she saw the first one she kept saying "What's that" and continued to dig out the food in each section until she could see all the animals on the plate.

Under the Weather

After spending most of yesterday feeling tired and Addison sneezing, coughing, not eating, and lots of dirty diapers we both woke up this morning not feeling well. We aren't sick to the point of laying on the couch all day but she sounds stuffed up and has been sneezing and I have a sore throat, ear ache and sneezing. So Brian has been assigned to be our nurse today and after he returns from the pharmacy he will be at our mercy...lol.

What I'm doing today

I'm going to be playing chair volleyball. We have two teams representing our company today and I'm really excited to see what chair volleyball entails. When I tried goggling it all I found was elderly activities...lol. Should be a blast!! I'm also in charge of taking photos so be on the lookout for some fun photos! All donations go to benefiting the United Way.

It's almost time...

Photobucket

I can’t believe that Halloween is two months away!! I remember last year looking at costumes a month ahead of time and most of them were already sold out. This year I’m going to make sure I order early. Last year Addison was a cow and everyone thought she was a little boy.

Photobucket

Yes I know a cow costume isn’t particularly girlish but Brian and I both thought it was cute and growing up my grandparents were dairy farmers so it held a special meaning for me. Even after people asked what her name was and we said “Addison” they would go on to reply “Your such a cute little boy”…ugh!!! So this year we’ve decided that she’s going to be something that will no doubt scream GIRL!! Any good website recommendations for toddler costumes?

Tasty Tuesday

Garden Veggie Pizza Squares

I do not own rights to this photo

Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (1 ounce) package Ranch-style dressing mix
2 carrots, finely chopped
1/2 cup chopped red bell peppers
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup fresh broccoli, chopped
1/2 cup chopped green onions

Directions:
1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2.Roll out crescent rolls onto a large non-stick baking sheet. Stretch and flatten to form a single rectangular shape on the baking sheet. Bake 11 to 13 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown. Allow to cool.

3.Place cream cheese in a medium bowl. Mix cream cheese with 1/2 of the ranch dressing mix. Adjust the amount of dressing mix to taste. Spread the mixture over the cooled crust. Arrange carrots, red bell pepper, broccoli and green onions on top. Chill in the refrigerator approximately 1 hour. Cut into bite-size squares to serve.

Helpful tip: I mix the veggies in with the cream cheese mixture. This way when you take a bite the veggies don't fall off the top.

Thanks to my good friend CJ for sharing this recipe with me.

Splash Park

This weekend we decided to cool off by going to the Splash Park. Last time we were there was for Addison's One Year photos. Crazy to think only 4 months ago she wasn't walking and now this time she was running into the water and having so much fun. She kept walking up to the other kids trying to give them all kisses...she's such a little love bug!
