Pics, Pics and more Pics

I think back to the days when we were kids and of course there are many pictures but I think of how lucky our kids are today and with all the technology. I hope when Addison grows up she appreciates that her mom is a camera addict. They always say that everyone is like that with their first child, but I'm pretty sure I'll take just as many pics if we ever have another baby. I seriously take at least 10-15 pics of her a week plus 1-2 videos. So without further ado...more pics from our weekend.

Beach Day

We finally had some beautiful weather this weekend so on Sunday we headed to the beach. It was a bit breezy beachside so after an hour we headed to the river. We have taken Addison to the beach before but she was too young to enjoy it. When we took her this time she loved playing in the sand. She kept putting her hands in the sand and grabbing handfuls of sand and of course crawling all over the beach. There was a dead eel that had washed up onshore(very rare to see this)...pics below.

Teeth Pics

Since I have yet to post any pics of Addison's beautiful new teeth, here they are!! I also found orajel to be not helpful at all, so I use Hyland's Teething Tablets and they have worked wonders!

Update, Pics and Videos

Surprisingly Addison slept really well last night, probably because she was able to breathe better due to the meds and the cool mist humidifier. She went to bed at 8:30p, woke up for a bottle at 4:30a, then went back to sleep until 8:15a. She's been playing and in a good mood so far. She has been sneezing a lot and has the croupy cough though :-(

Yesterday I took some pics and videos when she was feeling good of her crawling, etc. Now that she's mastered crawling she's already onto the next feat-standing. She tries to pull herself up onto anything she can grab-coffee tables, couches, chairs, my legs, etc. Even when she's crawling she pushes her legs to standing but can't figure out what to do with her arms...lol.

Sick Baby

The last couple of days Addison has had a stuffy nose and not sleeping well at night which is unlike her but I figured the sleepless nights were due to her teething. So today she was fine all morning and playing, then when she woke up from her nap she was crying so hard. When I picked her up I immediately noticed that she sounded hoarse and was breathing really deep. I tried to calm her but she was inconsolable. She didn't want a bottle or sippy cup. I took her to the pediatric urgent care and she has croup. They gave her a dose of liquid steroids and said if she gets a fever or her cough gets worse tonite that I'll need to take her to the hospital but luckily she seems a bit better since the steroids. They also suggested using a cool mist humidifier and inclining her crib to help her breathe easier at night until the croup goes away. I can't believe how fast it came on. I'm so glad I took her to the Dr. right away.

She's Mobile!!

Addison has finally started crawling forwards!! For several weeks she was crawling but only backwards and as soon as she'd back into a wall or toy she'd try and sit on it...lol. Just this last weekend she found first gear!! Now her favorite thing to do is dump out the dog's water bowl.

A long couple of weeks...

So it's been a long couple of weeks...here's an update. My parents came for the holidays and it was so great having them here. We had a wonderful Christmas and we never could've gotten moved without all their help. Addison got her first two teeth, we packed up our house and moved on New Year's Day. You never realize how much stuff you have until you pack up everything you own...needless to say LOTS went to Goodwill and the rest went into storage due to us moving from a house to a furnished condo. We found a renter for our house who will move in this weekend so that's a big relief. The day we moved it was pouring rain but thankfully we hired movers and besides a few damp items nothing broke or got damaged. Now Brian is living in South Florida but I'm living at my parents North Florida home and working until I can find employment in the area where our condo is. I love the area in south Florida...it has so much shopping, we are 3 miles from the beach and it's such a pretty beach resort type of town. Our condo is located in a gated golf course community so Brian is anxious to get out on the course.

I did have an interview while I was off work the last two weeks and it was the strangest, most unprofessional interview I've ever had. I was seriously looking around the room for cameras and waiting for someone to pop out and say "Surprise your on candid camera" It was at a well established law firm. When I arrived the lawyer was smoking a cigarette in his office and sipping on a "fun" drink. He asked me nothing pertaining to my job experience just wanted to know about myself-if I was married, etc. He was basically looking for a "very" personal assistant. He had other interviews and spaced them out 15 minutes apart so if you were really looking for a qualified candidate you would have allowed an hour at least. I think he was just wanting to see what everyone looked like. Then while he was asking me where I was from and why I was looking for a job he reclined back in his office chair and put his feet on the desk and he was BAREFOOT...I about walked out at this point. I was just floored. If he calls me and offers me the job I am definitely turning that offer down! I'm tempted to call the Florida Bar Association and report this guy. I swear these types of things always happen to me.

Brian really likes his job promotion. It's more work and responsibility but I swears he thrives off of those situations.
