Yesterday Addison turned 5 months! OMG...the time is flying by! She is sitting up with support, babbling, laughing, rolling over, eating cereal, loves books, loves putting EVERYTHING in her mouth, sucks on her toes and her favorite toy is her keys because the key ring fits perfectly in her mouth for her to munch on :-)
Just in the last few days Addison has been rolling over in her sleep or sleeping on her side so last night I took the bumper pad out because I’m afraid she’ll roll into it and get smothered (I always worry) but then she kept sticking her feet through the slats and whenever she did this she woke up crying-three times last night. So now I'm contemplating whether or not to put the bumper pad back in the crib???
Addison rolled over in her sleep the other night so when I went in her room to get her and she was laying face down and I had a moment of panic. Now that she's rolling over I'm guessing this is going to be a regular thing. She also in her baby babble has started growling. It's funny but scary at the same time. She's always growling and huffing like a dragon. And the only thing that makes her laugh is if you make scary noises back to her...what's wrong with my child...lol. She also "sings" to the radio every morning on the way to daycare. She's growing up so fast. I love seeing her little personality emerging. I just hope the growling doesn't last forever :-) She's definitely SASSY!
Last night we booked our tickets to Nebraska for Turkey Day! I'm so excited! I hope the weather isn't too cold or too much snow. It'll be Addison's first plane ride. I hope we can keep her occupied for the duration of the flights. Unfortunately there are no non-stop flights to Omaha since it's in the middle of B.F.E. I haven't been home since 2007 and Brian has only been there once in 2004 so we are way overdue on a visit. I wanted to go to Vala's Pumpkin Patch but they aren't open when we will be there but definitely in the future I want to take Addison there on one of our trips to Nebraska. I'm hoping if the weather is not too bad that we can take Addison to the Henry Doorly Zoo. Yipee...so excited!!
Addison has now started eating food. She is getting the hang of it and last night she started opening her mouth in anticipation. I could barely get the cereal on the spoon and she had her mouth wide open waiting for the next bite...lol.
So just when things are smooth sailing I hit rough waters...when I picked up Addison from daycare yesterday her daycare provider informs me that her family is moving out of state at the end of October...I'm freaking out because most daycare's in our area have a waiting list and now I only have 5 weeks to interview and locate a new daycare that has openings. I'm really stressing out and I hate feeling rushed into finding someone new.
We decided this weekend that Addison is going to be a cow for Halloween. We have a pumpkin costume for her from her Grandma A but after looking at costumes online we wanted to dress her up in something cute. Here's a picture of her costume. It should arrive on Friday...let's hope it fits!
Addison has started to roll over!! Saturday she wore her Husker outfit in support of the Cornhuskers first game of the season and it must have been good luck because they won!
This weekend we got Addison's pool float out that her Grandma A bought her before she was born and inflated it and she L-O-V-E-D it!! She was kicking her legs like crazy and feeling the float and the water. It was too cute. She's definitely a water baby.
